How we handle your app data and waitlist information.

Who is responsible

Sokkio OÜ, an Estonian private limited company, develops, publishes, and operates Be Analog. It is the data controller for personal information processed through the app and its waitlist.

Registry code: 17532051. Registered office: Tartu maakond, Tartu linn, Tartu linn, Raua tn 20-15, 50106, Estonia.

For privacy requests, email support@sokkio.com. See our company legal details or Be Analog support.

Habits, reading, and your garden

Your habits, recorded activity, reading progress, garden, earned seeds, and preferences are saved on your device. The app does not require a Be Analog account or sign-in.

On iOS, when iCloud is available, the app synchronizes a recovery snapshot through your Apple account. It includes habit and reading records, progress, garden rewards, and selected preferences. On Android, app data may be included in the device’s system backup, depending on your backup settings.

Apple and your Android backup provider manage those cloud copies. You can manage them through your device and account settings. Sokkio does not run an account-based server for your habit history.

Book searches

When you search for a book, your search text goes to our Cloudflare-hosted book-search service and Google Books to find matching titles. Results may be cached for 15 minutes. Book covers load from their image provider, which receives the network request.

Cloudflare and Google may process connection information, including IP addresses, and service logs to deliver and protect these requests. We do not send your saved reading progress with a book search.

App analytics

The Be Analog app uses PostHog to understand onboarding, habit check-ins, activity timers, and plant growth. Usage collection runs automatically in release builds and cannot be turned off in the app. We send a randomly generated installation identifier, event times, app version and platform, catalog activity types, timer minutes, and reward amounts. The identifier is stored on your device and sent with events to link usage across visits; it is not linked to an account.

We do not send your custom activity titles, book details, plant names, onboarding answers, or reminder times. We do not record your screen or track individual taps. IP addresses are discarded by PostHog, and location enrichment is disabled. Analytics is processed in PostHog’s EU region.

Catalog activity types can include exercise, such as running or yoga, together with the timer minutes you record. These are included in automatic usage analytics.

For access or deletion requests, contact support@sokkio.com. Because we do not collect your identity, we may need information from your installation to locate its events.

Crash reports

Release builds use Sentry in its EU region to report crashes and errors so we can fix problems. Reports include error messages, stack traces, app version, an installation identifier, and diagnostic device and operating-system information. Sentry can infer an approximate city or country from the connection IP address. We do not attach your saved habit, reading, or garden records, screenshots, screen recordings, or console and network breadcrumbs.

Crash reporting and usage analytics run automatically in release builds. We use it to keep the app reliable. Contact support@sokkio.com with questions about diagnostic data or deletion requests.

What we collect and why

We collect the email address you submit, the time you joined, and the version of the signup wording shown to you. We use this information to manage the Be Analog waitlist, tell you about the launch and your waitlist offer, and send occasional Be Analog product updates. Your signup is your consent to these emails; you may withdraw it at any time.

We do not ask for your name, and we do not put your IP address, browser details, or Turnstile token in the waitlist database. Cloudflare Turnstile checks the form for automated submissions. See Cloudflare’s Turnstile privacy information.

Where it is kept

The waitlist is held in a Cloudflare D1 database. We do not send signup or newsletter emails from this website yet. When we move the list to an email service, we will update this notice, provide unsubscribe options, and delete the D1 copy after checking the transfer.

How long we keep it

On-device progress remains until you remove the app’s stored data. Deleting a habit does not necessarily erase its past activity history. Cloud backup copies are managed separately through your device and cloud account.

App analytics uses PostHog’s standard paid-plan retention, which provides seven years of event history. This is not an automatic deletion deadline; deletion requests are handled separately.

We keep your waitlist record while the waitlist and its planned email updates are active, unless you ask us to remove it sooner. After the move to an email service, that service’s updated notice and unsubscribe process will apply.

The book-search cache lasts 15 minutes. Cloudflare’s standard Workers Logs retention is up to seven days; other provider security records follow the provider’s retention policies.

Why we process information

We process app data and book-search requests to provide the service you request (performance of a contract). Waitlist emails rely on your signup consent. We use usage analytics to understand how people use Be Analog and improve the app. We use our legitimate interests in responding to support requests and keeping the service reliable and secure to handle support correspondence and necessary service logs.

Service providers

We use PostHog for usage analytics, Sentry for crash reporting, Cloudflare for hosting, book-search delivery, waitlist storage, and form verification, Google Books and its image providers for book information, and Apple or your Android backup provider for system cloud storage. Our app services use HTTPS for network requests.

Providers may process information outside your country, including outside the European Economic Area. Their privacy notices describe their processing and international-transfer safeguards: PostHog, Sentry, Cloudflare, Google, and Apple. Contact us for information about the safeguards applicable to your data.

Your choices

Email support@sokkio.com to ask for access, correction, deletion, or a portable copy of your information, to request restricted processing, or to object where applicable. You can withdraw consent at any time; this does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal. We handle requests manually and may need information to locate the relevant records.

To remove on-device data, use your device’s app-storage controls or remove the app. Manage iCloud and Android backups separately in your device or account settings. You may complain to the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate or your local data protection authority.
